Networking

Day 2 - Add-on advanced workshops

30 participants attended one of the three industry-specific, advanced level, small-group workshops:

  1. Gender Analytics for corporate innovation for people from the business sector

Led by Sarah Kaplan (Distinguished Professor and Director, Institute for Gender and the Economy, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto)

  2. Gender Analytics and GBA+ for government/policy innovation for government staff and policy analysts

Led by Stephanie Paterson (Professor, Political Science, Concordia University and GBA+ expert)

  3. Gender Analytics for community organizations for members of the non profit community

Led by Chanel Grenaway (Equity and Anti-Racism Facilitator and Consultant, Non-profit Sector Leader)

These workshops helped participants develop the skills they need to do their own intersectional gender-based analysis for product, service or policy design. In them, they will work with leading experts to (1) learn more about gender and its intersections, (2) explore qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis approaches, (3) gain insights on incorporating intersectional gender-based insights in to creation and co-creation of products, services and policies, and (4) identify opportunities for organizational transformation. You will come away with worksheets and project templates for your own work, gain a network of other professionals interested in Gender Analytics, and earn a digital and print certificate of completion at the end of the day.
